What Catering Workers do
- Assist and accommodate catering requirements for clients
- Assist with the purchase and storage of food
- Ensure adequate crockery, cutlery, detergents and kitchenware is available and maintained
- Ensure there is security for food and equipment
- Maintain records of payments and expenses
- Help with planning, coordinating and supervising of workers in dining rooms, kitchens, bars and other areas
- Ensure sanity regulations are enforced in all work areas including dining rooms, kitchen, storage facilities and other work areas
- Respond to complaints regarding food and service
