What Beauty Therapists do

  • Analyse skin types and give advice about skin and body care
  • Treat skin and body conditions through a variety of treatments including the use of electrical equipment, referring clients to medical practitioners where necessary
  • Assist individuals with exercise programs and nutrition
  • Utilising electrolysis or waxing for removal of facial and body hair
  • Provide a range of treatment options to client e.g. aromatherapy, facial and body massage
  • Apply make-up and perform manicures, pedicures, nail extensions and eyelash and eyebrow tinting
  • Perform administration duties, such as, receiving bookings, arranging appointments and maintaining client records
  • Advise clients on and sell cosmetic products and related beauty equipment.
