Traineeship
What Vehicle Service people do
- Hoist vehicles on hydraulic hoists or jacks
- Assist motor mechanics to remove or dismantle engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other car components
- Assist motor mechanics in repairing or replacing worn or defective parts and re-assembling mechanical components
- Service motor vehicles by changing oil and oil filters and carrying out lubrication and re-fuelling
- Maintain a clean workshop by cleaning and clearing working surfaces and floors
- Maintain tools and equipment by ensuring they are clean and in good working order
