What Saw Doctors do
- Produce saw blades from sheets or strips of steel
- Straighten and stretch steel in circular and band saws
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and machines
- Maintain cutting tools by milling, grinding, pressing and sharpening them
- Weld tools, saws and cutting edges
- Assemble, calibrate and dismantle instruments where appropriate
- Repair and service tools and machinery
- Stock a range of mechanical parts for sawing machinery used in timber processing

The Future
- Employment for a minimum of four years
