What Museum Attendants do
- Organise and conduct tours of museums or galleries
- Answer enquiries about the museum and exhibits
- Inform visitors about exhibits and give directions where necessary
- Control visitors’ access to exhibits and unauthorised entry into staff only areas
- Check that all visitors have left the building at closing time
- Inspect membership cards, admission passes and tickets to exhibitions
- Patrol museum or gallery to ensure security of exhibits
