Traineeship
What IT Programmers do
- Assist systems analysts and / or designers with research and documenting computer users’ needs
- Examine objectives and problems specified by analysts and / or designers
- Assist translation of the solutions provided by systems designers into detailed program specifications
- Prepare reports and notes for programmers, users of the system and support services workers
- Partake in program design activities such as definition of data and error message arrangements
- Modify, fix and test document programs to correct errors or to enhance a program’s capabilities
- Prepare reports for computer equipment suppliers, systems designers, programmers and computer operators on the status, operation and maintenance of system software
