Traineeship
What IT Assistant Analysts do
- Discuss information needs, data flows and systems definitions with managerial, administrative and technical Staff
- Monitor and check systems access and security to optimise performance and to initiate recovery action after system failures
- Help with set up and regulation of databases
- Implement regular housekeeping procedures, including data backup and the distribution and retention of data on storage devices
- Coordinate system updates and replacement of ‘old’ versions and provide assistance in testing new equipment and systems
- Provide advice to users on data structures and terminology
