What Hairdressers do

  • Discuss with clients their needs and expectations, offering advice on styles and hair care products
  • Shampoo, condition and treat hair when necessary
  • Cut both fe males and males hair using clippers, scissors or razors
  • Provide a variety of treatments and services for clients, such as, perming, straightening, foils and tinting
  • Dry and style hair using a combination of equipment
  • Attend information sessions and seminars in order to keep up to date with new products and techniques
  • Operate computer / register and handle money
  • Perform administration duties, such as, answering telephone calls, making appointments and client records
  • Perform cleaning duties to ensure a safe healthy environment, and maintenance of the equipment.
