What Furniture Polishers do
- Prepare surfaces for polishing by remove trimmings such as knobs or hinges
- Use a variety of methods to remove old finishes such as stripping, scraping, sanding or applying solvents
- Mix and match colours of paint and stain
- Apply stains and paint the surface of the furniture
- Polish, wax or lacquer furniture
- Make minor repairs and restoration to damaged and antique furniture
- Maintain and clean equipment regularly
