Group Training Association of NSW Objectives

The Group Training Association of NSW is a not for profit organisation whose objective is to create additional high quality apprenticeship and traineeship opportunities for the purposes of:

  1. Ensuring industry has the skilled workforce it requires;
  2. Assisting young people make the transition from school to work; and
  3. Providing access to Vocational Education and Training for disadvantaged groups including disabled, unemployed, rural and remote, mature aged, Indigenous and non-English speaking background Australians.

In 2010/11 we have increased our services to you.

GTA NSW Consultants

As a GTA NSW Member you have access to consultants who will be able to provide services and advice including:

Industrial Relations Advice

GTA NSW has an arrangement with its industrial relations provider WorkSight to provide a subscription based Award Information service. The subscription includes summaries of major awards used within the Group Training sector, an information advice service and training in various aspects of Industrial Relations.

WorkSight can also provide assistance to Group Training Organisations on a fee for service basis in relation to:

  • Industrial relations negotiations
  • Representation at industrial tribunals
  • Unfair dismissal procedures
  • Interpretation of various industrial relation situations/issues
  • Advice and support on recruitment and placement practices

Superannuation Support and Advice

AustralianSuper is one of the largest industry superannuation funds in Australia, run only to profit members and offering low fees and is the preferred superannuation fund of the GTA NSW.

Members can take advantage of benefits such as:

Insurance

  • Educational resources and access to online tools
  • Commission free financial advice

Marsh are the appointed insurance broker to GTA NSW and as a member you can benefit from a wide range of insurance products.
Marsh along with GTA NSW have developed tailor made insurance solutions to suit your needs and a major benefit is that we have worked along side other GTO’s & RTO’s to create specific products.
GTA NSW Members will benefit from rate reductions of between 10% and 25% on their annual insurance premiums.

Combined Legal Liability Program

Marsh along with QBE have developed a product for the Employment Service Sector that extends to cover GTA NSW’s, GTO’s, RTO’s and Labour Hire Companies.
This single policy covers:

  • Public & Products Liability.
  • Directors & Officers Insurance.
  • Professional Indemnity Insurance.
  • Crime Cover (Employee Embezzlement / Fidelity).
  • Employment Practices Liability (EPL).

The Marsh policy also extends to cover sub contractors of the company.

There is also a clause which covers any Workcover Recovery Claims made against your Organisation.

Property Insurance

Marsh have a property insurance cover which provides many benefits over and above the standard policy wordings. Our Program has no co-insurance clause.

This policy covers Fire, Theft, Burglary, Money, Glass, and more.

Workers Compensation Strategies

The Workforce Strategies division at Marsh are a team of specialised consultants that focus upon solutions to our clients workers compensation and health and safety challenges.

Motor Vehicle

GTA NSW via Marsh have set up a Motor Fleet Policy to cover vehicles at a competitive rate. The program automatically includes the following feature benefits to you:

  • Free Hire car for 30 days irrespective of fault.
  • Nil Excess on Windscreen Claims.
  • Choice of Repairer.
  • Covers personal contents in the vehicle.
  • Non-owned Vehicles.
  • No Fault Deductible - You will not have to pay an Excess if you can identify the third party who was at fault in causing the claim.
  • Automatic Additions - The policy will cover automatic additions of vehicles valued at up to $250,000.

Tenders and Grants

Never miss another tender opportunity by subscribing to an electronic e-mail notification service provided by TenderSearch and/or Grants and Tenders.

TenderSearch

Published on a daily basis, TenderSearch provides notification of upcoming tenders from a wide range of Government and private sources based on keyword selection.

Grants and Tenders

Published twice a month, this newsletter provides an up to date list of current training and business grants and tenders available from both Commonwealth, State and other sources.

Subscribing to either service through GTA NSW will give you a saving of up to 50% on general annual subscription cost.

Business Credit Reporting - ABR

GTA NSW can provide you with cost effective credit checking service through the Australian Business Research database. All you need to do is supply GTA NSW with the company name and ACN and/or ABN and you will have a report emailed to you within the hour.

Access a range of credit check options to suit the credit risk by subscribing to this service and save up to 30% off the regular cost.

Lawlex – SAI Global

The SAI Global subscription service will notify you within 24 hours of any new legislation or legislation changes through their e-mail notification service.

This will assist members in meeting the GTO standard of ensuring they keep up to date on Government legislative changes.

Your individual profile ensures you only receive what is relevant to you with current topics including Education, OH&S, Transport, Construction, Employment and Industrial Relations.

Subscribing through GTA NSW will save you up to 80% of the general annual subscription.

Fuel Cards

Keep track of vehicle usage and costs with one convenient monthly statement and invoice.

Online updating is available for changes to member account details.

You can place ads using a Member Template with your own brand. Bulk advertising packages of 10, 25, 50 or 100 are available to be used within a 6 month period.
