Clothing Production Worker
What people in this role do:
- Set up and operate sewing machines, hand and power tools and steam presses
- Arranges patterns for garments on a piece of material or marker paper, making note of the direction of the weave
- Maintain machinery and equipment
- Select appropriate fabrics and mix fibres for garments
- Cut out garment pieces by following edges, seams or markings of the cloth
- Assemble garment pieces by using various sewing techniques including hemming, pleating, attaching zippers, pockets and buttons

- Ability to work patiently and systematically
- Ability to meet deadlines
