Jeweller

What people in this role do:

  • Design and make jewellery and three-dimensional objects
  • Prepare detailed drawings and specifications for the construction process
  • Shape and assemble materials by cutting, filing, hammering, turning, spinning, bending, casting, folding, linking, soldering, screwing and riveting components
  • Use specialised hand and power tools eg in securing gemstones in settings
  • Preparation of finished surfaces by using files, emery paper, buffing machines or other appropriate tools and equipment
  • Engrave designs on ring settings, brooches, bracelets and other articles
  • Repair and / or remodel jewellery
  • Wholesale and retail selling of jewellery

  • School Certificate
