Information Technology - Assistant Analyst

What people in this role do:

• Discuss information needs, data flows and systems definitions with managerial, administrative and technical Staff
• Monitor and check systems access and security to optimise performance and to initiate recovery action after system failures
• Help with set up and regulation of databases
• Implement regular housekeeping procedures, including data backup and the distribution and retention of data on storage devices
• Coordinate system updates and replacement of ‘old’ versions and provide assistance in testing new equipment and systems
• Provide advice to users on data structures and terminology

• Good oral and communication skills
• Good problem solving skills
• Interested in computers
