Landscape Gardener
What people in this role do:
- Design, draw and schedule landscape construction
- Speak to clients regarding specifications and then develop quotations
- Discuss options and select materials and plants to meet their requirements
- Analyse and evaluate the site
- Prepare for landscape construction by clearing debris and ordering landscaping materials
- Restore and repair steps, walls, fences, ponds and fountains and install facilities such as ferneries, barbecues, play structures and garden furniture
- Construct paths, steps and paved areas
- Arrange and plant trees and shrubs
- Maintain and clean gardening equipment
Your chances of success will be better if you have:
- Ability to undertake manual and heavy work
- No allergies to plants
- Ability to work outdoors in any weather condition
- Good organisational skills
- Attention to detail
- Creative mind
- School Certificate
