Plasterer

What people in this role do:

• Take measurements of job in order to place orders for specific requirements
• Ensure that corners, angles, wall and ceiling surfaces are level and straight
• Clean and prepare surfaces before commencing work
• Apply coats of plaster, cement or other materials to walls and ceilings, levelling and smoothing them by using specialised tools
• Complete job by apply a finishing coats of plaster to create a smooth finish or decorative texture
• Render exterior walls and moulds
• Prepare safe work area by erecting scaffolding
• Plan plasterboard layout and design
• Install insulation, moisture barriers and fire-rated wall barriers
• Install acoustic walls and treatments
• Make fibrous plaster moulds in factories.
