What people in this role do:

• Install and maintain computer systems
• Advise clients about their equipment problems and needs
• Test and check electronic circuits and equipment
• Fix or replace faulty parts
• Use solders and other hand and power tools
• Install, service and repair electrotechnology equipment, communication, commercial and domestic equipment.

Your chances of success will be better if you have:

• Technical aptitude
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
• Ability to work both individually as well as part of a team
• Normal eyesight and colour vision
• School Certificate
