Laundry Worker
What people in this role do:
- Identify customer’s items are labelled with a number or mark
- Label, barcode and record articles as they arrive
- Separate items according to colour, fabric and cleaning treatment, watching for damages and treat stains
- Monitor the computerised washing and drying systems in laundry machines and load and unload machines
- Operate pressing and ironing machines
- Fold, count, stack and package articles for delivery as per labelled items
- Maintain machinery and keep laundry clean
Your chances of success will be better if you have:
- Good English literacy skills
- Interest in practical work
- Good physical fitness
- No skin allergies
- Ability to work efficiently with speed

- Employment for a minimum of one year
- Employment areas include: public or private laundries, industrial laundries, linen services, hospitals, nursing homes
