Disability Worker
What people in this role do:
- Plan implement and maintain programs of supervision and care for those in residential care
- Provide and supervise those in residential care during domestic activities such as washing, dressing, eating, transport, budgeting and health issues
- Plan, implement and supervise activities and events that enhance the physical, social, emotional and intellectual development of those in residential care
- Assist those in residential care to be ready for educational and recreational activities
- During daily activities provide support and companionship for those who are sick or aged
- Perform various household tasks including cooking and serving meals, cleaning, washing and ironing
