What people in this role do:

• Clean floors, work areas and machinery with vacuum cleaners
• Clean furniture and fittings by dusting and polishing
• Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing and polishing
• Strip built up waxes and polishes from floors
• Shampoo carpets and rugs
• Clean walls and windows
• Disinfect laundry, kitchen, toilet and bathroom fixtures and floors
• Empty and clean ashtrays and waste bins
• Clean around buildings, such as paths and entrances
• Remove graffiti where necessary
